AAL Takes the Award for Best Shipping Line – Project Cargo

2014 - AAL Awarded Best Shipping Line - Project Cargo 28th AFSCAs

Austral Asia Line has been awarded Best Shipping Line – Project Cargo at this year’s Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCAs). The AFSCAs involve key decision makers in the industry who take part in an independently verified process that comprises of a nomination round and a voting round. To be a finalist of the prestigious awards is a reflection of a company’s position as one of the leading organisations in the industry.

The award for Best Shipping Line – Project Cargo is given to the company that demonstrates superiority in quality customer service, flexibility in approach, delivery of cargo at the agreed schedule and demage-free handling of cargo. AAL was able to successfully demonstrate such superior qualities to finish the winner amidst competition from this year’s other finalists Intermarine and Rickmers Linie. Mr. Wolfgang Harms, the Deputy Managing Director & Chief Representative (Greater China) was in attendance to proudly receive the award on behalf of Austral Asia Line.

The winners of the 28th annual AFSCAs were announced during a gala dinner held at The Peninsula Shanghai on Tuesday, 17th June 2014. The evening was attended by around 400 top executives from shipping, transport and logistics industries to celebrate and network.
