AAL Shipping (AAL) is committed to ensuring full compliance with international sanctions regulations, and the protection of our customers and other supply chain partners from illegally engaging with sanctioned companies, entities, or individuals. For this reason, we have in place a robust Due Diligence and Sanctions Policy (the ‘Policy’), which is available to our customers and partners to review at any time.

The Policy outlines a comprehensive global sanctions and due diligence framework of requirements and standards designed to ensure full compliance with recognised sanctions obligations globally. In addition to the requirements of the Singaporean sanctions regime, AAL complies with the sanctions laws and regulations of the United Nations, European Union, United Kingdom and the United States.

AAL will neither knowingly facilitate trade, nor permit business relationships, with entities, organisations, or individuals designated on any of the UN, EU, UK, or US Economic Sanctions lists. Any proposed shipment and/or business activity that is even considered as potentially in breach of Sanctions may be declined. At AAL, we strive each day for a ‘zero harm and zero damage record’. The management and staff of AAL prioritise Health, Safety and Environmental matters as an integral part of the process with which we manage our fleet and our entire global operations.

We have in place an ongoing programme of training and re-training for our global crew and all our land-based technical, operations, commercial and support teams and our IT system and hardware are monitored 24/7 and maintained to the highest industry standard and regulations.

The company has implemented and maintains a comprehensive integrated management system, that haromonises and directs the internal and external operations and processes of our teams across our entire global network. Independent assessment and certification of this management system was performed by DNV-GL and such accreditation – to latest industry standards – demonstrates AAL’s ongoing commitment to achieving the highest levels of corporate governance, customer satisfaction, health, energy and environmental responsibility.

AAL is the first MPP/HL carrier that has a management system certified against the latest four ISO standards. ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management System – by DNV office in Singapore. We were also awarded 2018 certifications –  ISO 45001 for Safety Management System and ISO 50001 for Energy Management System.
