Personal Data Notice and Consent

By providing my personal data to Austral Asia Line Pte. Ltd., I hereby agree and allow Austral Asia Line Pte. Ltd. and its affiliates (collectively “AAL”) to:

(a) collect, use, store, disclose and/or process my personal data, including but not limited to my name, my identification number, my date of birth, my telephone numbers, my email address, my postal address, my professional and/or educational qualifications, my employment history, and other relevant data, for the following Purposes:

i. processing my job application and/or enquiries;
ii. facilitating, processing, dealing with, administering, managing and/or maintaining my relationship with AAL;
iii. informing me of present or future opportunities, including employment opportunities that AAL considers relevant to me;
iv. informing me of any events, industry updates or market developments, or other information that AAL considers to be relevant and of interest to me;
v. dealing in any matters relating to AAL products, services, operations or activities;
vi. carrying out due diligence and other screening activities, or to prevent or investigate any fraud or breach of contract or unlawful activity;
vii. conducting research, analysis or development activities (including but not limited to data analytics, surveys and/or profiling) to enhance AAL products, services and/or operations, and/or otherwise for AAL business operations and purposes;
viii. storing, hosting, backing up (whether for disaster recovery or otherwise) of my personal data, whether within or outside Singapore;
viiii. any other purpose relating to any of the above, (collectively the “Purposes”);

(b) disclose personal data about me to third party service providers and agents (“Representatives”) that are engaged by AAL to perform certain functions in connection with the Purposes so long as disclosure is necessary to enable such Representatives to perform the said functions. The Representatives may be located within or outside Singapore. In this regard, I hereby acknowledge, agree and consent that the said Representatives may, to the extent necessary to perform the said functions, collect, use, disclose and/or process my personal data.

(c) disclose personal data about me to a third party if AAL or its Representatives are required to do so because of an applicable law, court order or governmental regulation, or if such disclosure is otherwise necessary to support any criminal and legal investigation or proceeding.

I hereby represent and warrant that I am the authorised user and/or subscriber of the email address and/or the telephone number provided by me, and that I have read and understood the above provisions, as well as the provisions found in AAL’s Privacy Policy.

I understand that while AAL will take all reasonable measures (as required by applicable law) to protect the integrity of my personal data, AAL cannot guarantee that loss, unauthorized access or alterations or misuse will not occur.

I am aware that AAL may revise this Privacy Notice and Consent at any time by amending this page.

I am aware that AAL will retain my personal data for as long as the purpose for which it was collected remains and until it is no longer necessary for any other legal or business purposes.

Should I wish to withdraw my consent in part or whole, I will send an email to the Human Resource Officer of AAL at hr at aalshipping.com and provide details of my withdrawal.

This privacy policy is governed by Singapore law.
